Volunteer with CVAS!

Many hands make light work! It takes many volunteers to make a manageable workload at a shelter with dozens of animals who need to be fed and cared for 365 days a year! This shelter could not exist without our animal-loving volunteers. Just complete our volunteer application to get started, and help keep CVAS open for the cats and dogs of Stevens County.

Cleaning kennels and feeding

Our number one volunteer need is people who can come in for a couple of hours between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to clean, do laundry, and/or feed and water the animals. This work has to be done 7 days a week. It isn't glamorous, but seeing the animals in their freshly cleaned spaces feels great!

TNR and Barn cat programs

If you are that special kind of rugged individual who is ready to hit the road (or the muddy barnyard) to help with trapping or transport, you are someone we are looking for!

Do you enjoy organizing events? Writing newsletter articles or taking animal photos? Fundraisers and getting information out to the community is what keeps us going!

these opportunities and more are on our volunteer application.
