CVAS Thanks Local Business The Handmaiden Bead & Jewelry Shoppe

The Handmaiden Bead & Jewelry Shoppe specializes in custom crafted one of a kind jewelry and has begun making pet-themes items of which half the monies is donated to our organization. This includes custom beaded collars for your fancy furry friends.

Be sure to say hello to the shop’s co-owner when you are there, Poco, a handsome pom-chi with a heart of gold, determined to help his shelter friends.

In summer 2018, the Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary (CVAS) received a $20,000 capacity building grant from the INNOVIA FOUNDATION, who also helped us obtain a NETWORK FOR GOOD/JUMPSTART data management program on CVAS’s behalf. These critical funds will help CVAS build the long-term sustainability it needs to keep serving the area’s people and pets in need. We continue to pursue funding and initiatives that will help fill the tremendous gap in humane society services in northeastern Washington.

PETSMART has also provided $2,500 to support shelter operations, and is partnering with CVAS at adoption events to help more local pets find homes.

The Estate of Nancy Harrison Holmes and Calvin Bentson, and the Estate of Hal Howard have recently made bequests to support CVAS operations. These gifts have allowed CVAS to make much needed repairs and improvements to shelter facilities. We are very grateful.
